Located in the Baa Atoll, Kunfunadhoo Island is one of the largest islands in the Maldives. The resort can be reached by a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight direct from Malé International Airport or a 12-minute speedboat ride for guests scheduled on domestic flights at the nearby Dharavandhoo Airport. Soneva Fushi has a private airport lounge exclusively for Soneva guests at the seaplane terminal.
Luxury Villas In The Maldives – The villas at Soneva Fushi are located on the island’s sunset or sunrise side. While both sides have the Maldives’ signature white-sand beaches and crystal clear azure waters, there are a few differences. Sunset side – For snorkelers – This side has three house reef access points, and dolphins are more likely to be spotted in the channel. On this side of the island, it is possible to see the neighboring island, Eydhafushi, approximately 650 meters away. Guests who want more privacy may consider staying on the sunrise side of the island. Sunrise side: For privacy – Enjoy virtually unimpeded views out to sea, as Maalhos, the closest neighboring island on this site, is just a speck on the horizon. This site is perfect for early risers who want to enjoy the morning tranquillity. The resort features 57 private villas with their own stretch of pristine beach. Snorkel Hanifaru Bay, with Manta Rays – Home to one of the world’s largest populations of manta rays. Conditions and season (June to November*) permitting, watch hundreds of mantas as they feed on plankton. If there are no Mantas, the Marine Biologist will take you to another snorkeling spot.
